How can we make CardBoard better?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

  1. Allow for ability to multi select and move multiple "Free Text" boxes

    I would like to be able to click, drag, select, and move multiple Free Text boxes at once.

    Separate request likely, but it would be great if text boxes had some sort of alignment feature so you could snap align text boxes with cards or other text boxes if use chose to. Alternately, give the user a perspective (dashed line) of where that text box is in relation to cards or text boxes next to (horizontal) or beneath (vertical) it.

  2. Generate an image file of the entire board

    Have an export option to generate an image file of the entire board but just the cards already posted. Basically a snapshot. The PDF isn't user friendly. I don't understand the purpose of the CSV extract; it makes no sense. As it is, I'm hand copying the cards to Excel.

  3. Include standard word editing capabilities on the cards

    e.g. cut and paste, block highlight text to delete, ...

  5. Improve drag-and-drop and scrolling

    It would be great if the scroll wasn't so aggressive! I often try to drag and drop a post it somewhere and the entire page starts scrolling. It is very frustrating.

  6. It would be great if card board would not relocate new cards far away from the top

    When I drag new cards onto the board, they appear way down in the board, far away from the top. I have to drag them back up to the top where I want them. Very clumbersome.

    Hi Paul,

    We feel your frustration. This happens when a card is dragged off the screen, then you drag another card down and it appears off your cursor. This is a high priority fix that we want to implement along with other user experiences that we want to improve.

  7. Drag and drop is gets erratic after some time

    After the page is partially filled with notes, drag and drop becomes unusable. It drops new stickies too low in the page and moving up and down takes lots of effort. I am using chrome on macbook.
