How can we make CardBoard better?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

  1. Adding text to card

    When I drop a card on my board and start typing to add text, the first character is not accepted. It should be.

  2. Vertical Divider Bug

    Adding a second vertical divider to a board causes all the tickets between that and the first divider to "require syncing". Attempting to sync fails with an "unknown error" and then nothing ever syncs again.

  4. It'd be great if the file name for exports was the name of the board

    Currently it's a numerical identifier instead of the name of the board.

  5. Extended the Board entry box at the top of the page

    Context = While on a board

    Board Names can be many more characters than what is displayed when the user does not have the text entry box selected. The end result is limited characters viewable with a trailing "..."

    There is plenty of white space up there. It would be great if you could extend that box out more to the right.

  6. Be able to pin the top cards (or a section) to the top

    For larger maps it would be great if you could add a section to the top of a map which would be pinned. This would give you much better awareness when dealing with large maps.

  8. There is a typo the the Connect to Jira dialog

    The leading text reads: "Cardboard uses the top row as Epics and all othe rows as Stories."
    So, "othe" is obviously meant to be "other"

  9. Pass through status from integrations

    In Jira if the status doesn't exactly match an accepted value in Carboard it is ignored which includes lower/uppercase. It would be great if this ignored case so that done = Done and also if it could either pass through a status or set anything other than empty and todo as processing. We currently have "in review/testing" which in cardboard would show up as not-started and we don't want to change our Jira workflow.

  10. [Bug] The bottom menu hides the scroll bar

    The menu at the bottom left with "Journeys, Minimap and discussion" is preventing from using the scroll bar.

    When clicking on the scroll bar, the text of this menu gets highlighted and we can't scroll right or left.

    Workaround: Click somewhere else on the scroll bar and catch it when it's not under the menu anymore.

  12. Allowed for mass deletion of data

    When I'm adding more detail to the back of the cards, I'm trying to highlight a full line of text to delete it but it seems it's not allowing me to do so. I can't highlight text and delete it, I have to just hold down the Backspace button.

  13. Item progress with printing

    It would be great to show the progress shade on cards when printing in PDF. I wanted to share the PDF with developers to show them where we're at on the map.

  14. Allowed you to pop open each card (similar to the backs of the cards).

    This would allow users to see the full content of the card instead of having to scroll up and down.

  16. Linking stories to epics when syncing

    When creating stories under an epic in CardBoard, it would be nice if when you sync, you see the stories under that epic in Jira.

    I would like to see a dashboard view implemented, which hides all navigation elements and just shows the card and the board, so it can be displayed on dashboards and infoscreens in our company.

  19. Allowed us to see all community boards

    My company just bought the product, and we aren't able to view all boards being worked on with our company/community. Is there a way to change this? Or else, we need to go through the process of individually adding every person for all projects.

    We added a new option where everyone in your community can see every board. Have your community admin, go to “Manage Your Community”, then “Boards”. Enable the checkbox for simplified permissions.
