How can we make CardBoard better?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.

  1. Change fonts

    I don't follow the traditional board methodology, but I like to create top of the screen sticky notes, and then put the titles of that columns.

    To make it stand out more, I would like to change the font to show its a column name, or create a new sticky type for columns with a bigger font or highlighted.

  2. Display number of cards in a Journey

    In the journeys column it would display the number of cards involved. This is useful on a large board, as I may only see two cards, but there are actually 4 cards that relate to that particular journey.

  3. I think it would be great if Card Board

    had a more robust single-user option. I'm using Card Board to distill user research into story maps, but I don't use collaborators. But I would like to send a "Preview Link" so someone can see the map as a work in progress. It's like using Card Board to draft the story map; the "final" mapping exercise happens when we're all on-site. For what I've described, I'd be willing to pay something between $45 - 60 / year: single author, 1 preview link per board, 10 - 15 board limit.

    Allow more basic printing options: print entire canvas to PDF (let me deal with size, etc.)

  10. Suggestion for white board functionality

    Hi,
    I'd like to be able to use this as a white board too. It would be nice if I could draw freestyle or draw arrows from one post it to another.

    the canvas would resize or there was an option to resize. I've been pairing down my map but the canvas is still a mile long horizontally AND vertically and it's pretty annoying

  15. When importing from Pivotal Tracker - filter/select stories

    I just imported all stories from our Pivotal project - all 3000 of them... ouch. I just need about 80 stories, to do a Story Map of a feature. Not the history of the entire project...

    Pivotal uses tags - allow me to filter/select stories with a Pivotal tag/label please.

  17. Set user access levels

    Assign collaborators as viewers, editors and admins. This would allow more granular control. The ability to change level immediately would also help with allowing access or locking down maps at different stages of the project.

  18. Will output the dividers when printing/exporting as PDF

    When printing, the pdf created does not output the dividers. This made my particular output useless, as I wanted to use the print out (or even better, the resulting pdf) to see my slices.

    Hi Kevin,

    We feel your pain with the print feature. We’re in discussion on how we can make it better, and including dividers in the printout is one of the ways. We’re also thinking about printing the back of cards, too, and completely re-working the process of exporting the pdf. If you have other ideas of how we could improve it, I’d love to hear.

  19. Should show 'download as pdf' not 'print'

    The 'print' button actually creates a pdf. This is a very useful feature and I actually have more use for 'download pdf' than 'print' at the moment (as I could print out a pdf, obviously, but can also keep and distribute the pdf). I'd say that this should be flagged as 'download as PDF' not 'print'!

  20. I want to save the print.pdf

    When I click print, a pdf is created. Saving this PDF from this page (or selecting Print and asking the Chrome built in PDF saver) results in a pdf file which is blank.
